As an educator and writer I have always loved books and reading.
I write stories for young children. I am especially interested in initiatives that bring reading into all the places where children go. So I am always on the lookout for outside places where children can see print meant for them – in the playground, at the park, on the nature paths, and more.

Vancouver Public Library created “Reading Lights’. They placed excerpts from stories and poems on lamp posts around the city. The stories and poems came from writers and illustrators in BC. Find out more – www.vpl.ca/ReadingLights
